Time goes by so quickly, one third of 2012 is gone. What am I going to do now? I already made a list of things for me to do in 2012, hope Ill achieve this by the end of 2012.
I can divide my past life into six parts. The first part is preschool period. The second part is elementary school period. The third part is middle school period. The fourth part is college period. The fifth part is Ningbo period. The sixth period is Shenzhen period.
In Shenzhen period, which is the most recent period, of course I can remember it clearly. On march 17th, 2008, I stayed at home to have Spring Festival. Then my friend Li Yan came home with his girlfriend from Shenzhen. Another friend Xu Miaocheng told me to go to Shenzhen, so I decided to go to Shenzhen with Li Yan.
We went to Yueyang by bus and then went to Shenzhen by train. They three, Li Yan, his sister and girlfriend, had train tickets, so I had to buy a platform ticket instead to get on the train. It was a lucky day, when I got off the train and I found a ticket in the carriage I stayed in, I looked around and found no one said his ticket was lost, hence I used the ticket to save me 69 RMB.
When we got out of the train in Guangzhou, it was really hot. I even wore long johns and found people around me wore T-shirt or waist. After another hour, I came to Longgang with my friend Li Yan. He treated me well, but his girlfriend gave me a cold shoulder. I could understand that she was a little afraid I would live with them for a long time. His girlfriend was a shrewd woman and owned two flower stores. I slept on the sofa for a night and the next day I bought a mobile phone Motorola C118 at the price of 240 Yuan in Gome. Li Yan asked me to stay with them for a few days and I only refused it politely. After lunch, I went to Longhua by bus, for the first time of my life, I knew I needed to pay 8 Yuan for a city bus.
Finally Peng Wei came out to receive me warmly, he was college classmate of Xu. There were one bedroom and one living room in total and we had four people, Peng Wei, Lu Zhiyong, Xu Miaocheng and I. From that day on, I had to look for a job every day. I brought 4,000 Yuan in total and found money being spent really quickly.
Lu and Xu worked every day, Peng and I went outside to find a job every day. When we returned to our residence, Peng was easy and watched TV happily, but I was worried and had no mood to watch TV. During that time, I didnt have computer either, so I read my Oxford dictionary every day. They three thought I was weirdie. After supper, Peng watched TV for a while and then played basketball happily. He had been seeking for a job for more than two months and still he wasnt worried at all. I had only been seeking for a job for more than two weeks and I was worried.
Another week passed, Peng found a job and moved out to the dorm of company. His dorm even had air-conditioner, I was really envious. When Lu and Xu went to work, I had to stay at home and feel a little bored, so I read Oxford dictionary instead. I didnt know why I read dictionary, but I had no other things to do.
One small company in Pinghu asked me to have an interview. I spent two hours on the bus and had to take a motorcycle for half an hour. The guy gave me a lot of requests, in a word, I need to be a hardware and software engineer, a tester, a production manager. Whats more, I could earn 1,000 Yuan per month, he seemed to give me a big favor, promising the company would repay my room and board. After that, he took out several papers for me to finish. I wish I could slap him then.
Another company asked me to be a technical support aboard. I had been through examination smoothly and finally had an interview with the general manager. He asked what was my character and I replied him there was no use to define a person with only one character. He became angry and decided not to employ me. The company was in software park of Shenzhen and I had to pay 10 Yuan to have a bowl of noodles with preserved Szechuan pickle. You mustnt stand under a tree, the mosquitoes there was really horrible. I had been a hardware engineer in Ningbo Tuopu Group for two years and decided to desert hardware career, but I hadnt thought of what job I wanted. I even had a job interview for technical translation. I thought I did well, but the company didnt receive me, last day I read my translation again and found it wasnt good.
Finally I entered into Kasda Digital Technology Co., Ltd on May 5th, 2008. From then on, I became engaged in Linux software development. I didnt know much about Linux then and the company used half a year to train me and I was really grateful, which was probably the reason for me to work here until today. The company was in Fuguang village of Nanshan, but I lived in Longhua. I had to get up at 6 oclock every morning and took bus 370 for two hours to Baishizhou, where I took the company bus for another half an hour. I had to be hurry to catch up bus 370 every day. I even had callus on my palms for the sake of holding handrail every day. After work, when I arrived at my residence, it was already eight oclock. After a supper with the other three guys, I had to take a shower and wash clothes and go to bed at once. The only thing for relaxation was having supper together, then we could talk freely with each other for a while.
