[Help]A problem that faces me in my English study

Recently ,a friend told me that don't learn English in the way of thinking,especially in oral English.You know ,when we communicate with someone, we will firstly think something to say in Chinese ;Then we will translate it into English and say it out. I wonder whether you do it or not.In fact ,so do I.I know clearly the existence of difference of the way of thinking between people in two different languages. However ,I don't know what it really is , how people think in English and how to arrange words to express their opinion properly. So I wish someone could help me and give me some advice to me and others facing the same problem.
