Before the class I was so nervous that I can even feel my heart beating strongly.
We had sung the song for several hours last night in order to perform it in todays English class. But its so difficult that we still cant follow the melody, and we also had difficult in pronunciation of words in English songs. Its a real challenge.
I was nervous but excited for it would be my first time to sing an English song. And I found it interesting to practice singing English songs because it help me a lot in reading English paragraphs. I ever read tasks in a common way like all Chinese do, in other words, I read them word by word. But now, I know more about how to link words when reading.
Well, though to sing English song was an interesting activity, we were still hit by the result.
The teacher said NO to our performance. She gave us several reasons like that our voice was too light to be heard clearly. I felt sorry for it. But for ourselves, we had sung very loud. In fact, I have been ill since last week and I couldnt sing very loud, while my partner tried her best to harmony with me.
However, our expression wasnt understood. The teacher said it was that we sang the song with a paper full of lyrics that counts, its against the rules.
Oh, my god!
How could you ask a fresh singing learner to sing so difficult a song without lyrics? And we even learned it for only one night! Had we chosen a topic to talk about, we surely could perform it without any papers. But
Ok I admitted doing it badly, but why couldnt we got half of the mark as reward for our preparation or my partner gets the whole mark and I can do a new task instead
We tried to communicate with the teacher. Unfortunately, she refused to accept our solution method. She insisted that we do it again together, or, neither of us would get the mark.
Wellmaybe the teacher was right, we need to obey the rules.
However, in my opinion, the purpose to organize the preparation before classes is to develop our interest in English studying and warm the classroom atmosphere. So I didnt think the rules were so much important here.
Am I wrong?
Oh, well. Forget it, forget it. Everything has gone and I am just complaining for a while, purely.
No other meaning.
