Yesterday morning two lines of high-spirited girls marched with regular steps on either side of East Changan
Street bordering Jianguomen Street. They are the crew of a
special police detachment on the beat of Central Capital District, East City Branch
Public Security Bureau. They are the first policewomen patrolling with a bachelors degree at least. The average age of them is 25. They mainly offer directions to
tourists. They not only patrol but make a scene as well.
