On March 11th, Xiao Liu, a college graduate, was on her
way to a job interview when her handbag was snatched away. Then she dialed her
own telephone number with the phone borrowed from her friend but received no
answer. Soon a short message from her own phone reached her, however, which informed
her where her handbag had been left. After recovering what she had lost, she
got a call from the mugger, who said,I returned your phone out of pity on you job-hunting college graduates .
Muggers, who live on
robbing others , only seek for money and valuable things. They are deprived of
virtue and conscience. Sometimes they commit sexual violence and even murder in
the wake of robbery. Who would have thought this unpardonable criminal could take
pity on a female college graduate who was seeking employmentHardly had he shown mercy
towards her and expressed their common misfortune when he gave back all her credentials.
From such pity we can realize the weakness and helplessness of the college
graduate body. Like a gourd dipper of cold water poured on our heads, the muggers
words sent a chill to our hearts.
