Does the glasswares wall thicknees thick or thin is good ?
For heat resisting of glassware it means the glassware tolerance for instant temperature (from the common temperature to high temperature ), if the wall of glassware cant stand the inner sides temperature inflate, and out sides temperature keep as commen temperature, this glassware should be burst.
Now, most of heat-resisting glassware is use the matereial of high borosilicate glass, coeffcient of expansion is lower 3.5(usually the safe coeffcient of expansion belown 3.8) and all of glassware should dealing by annealing(annealing funace, the glasswares temperater will be lower slowlly), it will be ensure the instant temperature difference. The comparation for high borosilicate glass in glassware is not high. Usally the heat-resisting glassware is not very thick, cause most of tea set glassware can keep heat by fire.if do too thick it cant good use for keeping heat by fire. And the glassware thin will not easy to burst. Cause the instant teperature differce will be lower.
Ome more important things is impact resisting . we cant do do glassware to thin to keep heat resisting, and should think the impact resisting. So the Heat resisting glassware should think carefully for glasss thickness, weight, shape, and using, or some expecially use!
